Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1//2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Method
 

  1. Add raspberries, chipotle peppers, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, honey, garlic, onion, lime juice, salt, and water to a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the raspberries fully break down and the onions soften.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. Blend the sauce using a blender or immersion blender until smooth.
  6. For an extra smooth texture, strain the sauce through a fine mesh strainer to remove raspberry seeds.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness, salt, or spice level if needed.
  8. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

This raspberry chipotle sauce thickens as it cools and can be adjusted for more or less heat depending on your taste. For a smoother texture, strain after blending. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
